Problem.

Presently in the video production industry, a client who wants a video made usually approaches a video agency or a freelancer. These video agencies will provide a video of say 10x quality, but will charge an especially hefty fee for it. Conversely, freelancers are generally cheaper but they deliver a video quality of 4x by comparison. UNYQUE provides a service which tries to obtain a 10x quality video, at a lower cost.

How UNYQUE works?

UNYQUE is a global video production company that offers high quality services at relatively affordable rates. It provides a platform for talented creators across the globe to meet brands, marketers and companies who are looking to create top-notch videos and animations by showcasing all their work.

For brands:

For creators:

I worked on the creator side of the platform.

Since this was my first internship, I worked under a senior designer who had already finished the branding of the company, as well as laid out the visual style. My task was to design the other screens, keeping in my mind the set guidelines I was given. I partly designed the desktop version for the creators to manage their projects and completely designed the mobile app for creators who are usually on the go.

Mobile app for creators.

Creators are individuals usually on the move, whether it is a videographer or a content writer. This app had to cater to a number of professionals that have to work together to deliver the video to the client. Creators use the UNYQUE app to get notifications regarding the project they are working on, receive invites to new projects, understand the project brief and communicate with UNYQUE to get more clarity about the project.

DIFFERENT PHASES OF A PROJECT FOR A CREATOR.

BASIC FLOW OF MOVING FROM INVITES TO IN-PROGRESS STATE.

Below video demonstrates the basic flow of how a creator can move from the invite phase, to the IN-DISCUSSION phase where they have to accept the terms and conditions of the project and finally the IN-PROGRESS state where a project dashboard consisting of various resources is created.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE OF THE APP.

The organization and division of content is a crucial aspect of UX design. Without proper sorting, most users would be lost and confused while navigating the app. After all, what good is an awesome feature if users can never find it? Hence, I decided to solve the Information Architecture of the app first. After understanding the requirements of the project I started to sketch the user flow of the app to make it as simple as possible.
